Her Future Mother-In-Law Would Not Stop Telling Her That Her Wedding Needed To Be Child-Free, So She Told Her Mother-In-Law To Either Stop Meddling In The Wedding Plans Or She Was Going To Just Elope With Her Fiancé

“And one of my dreams has always been a wedding picture where it’s just me in my wedding dress, just surrounded by kids,” she revealed.

For whatever reason, though, her mother-in-law is totally against that and keeps insisting that the reception should be child-free.

Anyway, she and her fiancé are currently visiting his family for Christmas right now. And yet again, another conversation came up about how no children should be allowed at the event.

So, she finally had enough of hearing it from her mother-in-law and kind of lost it. More specifically, she claims to have “politely informed” her mother-in-law that if she heard even one more word about how she should be planning her wedding, then she was going to convince her son to skip the event altogether and just elope. Yikes!

Now, she also opened up about how her fiancé is on the spectrum– so he honestly is not looking forward to having a massive wedding either. Quite frankly, he even said he would be happy with a courthouse wedding.

So, thankfully, he is also on her side in terms of her mother-in-law and is not happy that his mom is trying to dictate how they celebrate their big day– especially since her in-laws are not paying for anything.

“We are paying for everything ourselves,” she noted.

Ever since she kind of told off her in-laws, though, her mother-in-law has been beyond dramatic. In fact, her mother-in-law has been comforted by her fiancé’s sister and sister-in-law.

And now all three women are accusing her of being totally cruel for threatening not to throw a wedding for her mother-in-law’s eldest son.

Still, her future father-in-law does agree with her and her fiancé that how the wedding is planned is ultimately their choice.

So now, with her in-laws torn over how her wedding should go, she has been left wondering if giving her future mother-in-law an ultimatum was the right thing to do or if it makes her a jerk.
