He then stopped to think about all of the kind things that his mom has done lately for him, his wife, and his children without asking for anything in exchange.
He mentioned to his wife that they should get his mom a hotel for Christmas as a gift, as she has done so much for them all.
That did not go over well with his wife at all, and she freaked out on him.
“She said it made her feel like s*** that I would do it for my mom and not her and that I’m being cheap and a mama’s boy, and we shouldn’t be spending money to make my mom happy,” he concluded.
He’s left wondering if it really would be so wrong to gift his mom a hotel room for Christmas but not splash out on the same thing for his wife and kids.
