“She always went shopping for other people though, got their children toys for their birthdays and whatnot.”
Well, not too long ago, she was on the phone with her mom, and she mentioned that she ran out of her perfume.
Her mom replied that someone gave her perfume as a gift that she’s not using, so she was welcome to have it.
She then asked her mom if she could mail the perfume to her at college before saying she was happy to pay for shipping.
Her mom just responded that she felt “too lazy” to mail the perfume to her. She kept asking a bit, and her mom finally just said it could be her birthday present.
“I’ll admit, I lost it a little,” she continued. “The first nice thing she gets me is given to her by someone else.”
“She defended herself by saying, “It’s not exactly free; I give people a lot of gifts this is payback, so technically, I did pay for this.” We argued a lot because I told her I don’t want it anymore, and she hung up, and I blocked her.”
“I know I sound privileged, and this is nothing as compared to what other people go through. I didn’t expect to be crying as much as I am. Any advice would be appreciated.”
