And for the most part, having her best friend and her husband around for a few days was great. She claims that the husband is a good guy who is awesome with her kids.
However, his weight seriously affects his mobility and his ability to clean himself– meaning that he would go long periods of time smelling pretty rancid.
“After a few days of staying with us, he smelled so bad. I had to ask my friend if she would ask him to wash down or shower,” she recalled.
Plus, the husband’s lack of hygiene caused her brand-new furniture to smell bad. And she claims that he also had a thick crust on his feet that would flake off everywhere around the house.
Her best friend’s husband’s hygiene was far from the only issue, though. In fact, there was an even bigger and much more expensive problem, too.
Apparently, her best friend’s husband first broke a decorative metal chair. She does admit that the chair was rusting; however, she had planned to vine some decorative flowers through it. After the husband sat in it, though, it collapsed.
Second, her best friend’s husband also broke their couch as well as their toilet seat. So, she and her own husband were forced to buy a new couch, and now her toilet does not sit right anymore.
And normally, she would not care about these items because they are just material “stuff.” But, since she is disabled, she and her husband are trying to make ends meet on just one income.
In turn, they cannot exactly afford to buy all new furniture whenever her best friend’s husband comes to visit.
At the time of the housewarming party and subsequent overnight stay, though, she was just too embarrassed to say anything to her best friend about the issues.
Plus, she figured that they would not be visiting together again that soon since they both live a decent distance away and survive on a single income, too.
