“Eve was overjoyed and played with it up until it was time for lunch,” she recalled.
During that time, she was also busy socializing and enjoying her own holiday fun. So, by the time lunch came around, she did not notice that her daughter had been seriously disrespected during the meal.
Well, one thing did tip her off about how some drama had occurred. Apparently, before everyone sat down for lunch, she noticed that her mother was looking over at her sister, Brianna, and her niece, Marissa as if the pair had done something wrong.
She did not think anything of it at the time, though, and simply helped her daughter grab a plate of food and sit down with a juice box. Then, she left the room to grab her own lunch helping.
After stepping out, though, she then heard some yelling before Eve burst into tears. So, she rushed back to the table and was immediately disgusted.
It turns out that her niece Marissa had called her daughter childish. Eve was also told that she needed to grow up and should not want to play with toys anymore.
Arguably the most disturbing part about this situation, though, was that both of her sisters actually agreed with her teenage niece!
Her niece did not just stop there, either. Instead, Marissa went on to tell Eve that she should be braiding her own hair instead of a toy’s fake hair.
Plus, Eve was told that she should be “making herself pretty” instead of trying to doll up a toy.
Now, her mother and father had overheard Marissa and Brianna talking about these terrible things earlier in the day.
And at the time, her parents reportedly tried to tell them they were being insensitive and would get into a lot of trouble if they ever told her, her husband, or Eve.
