Franchesca finds it interesting that the current beauty trends, such as wearing a full face of makeup, thick lashes, and getting lip enhancements, also make women look older.
In addition, she has noticed the normalization of binge drinking on TikTok. It’s well known that consuming lots of alcohol tends to age people beyond their years.
Many people Franchesca went to high school or college with who are heavy drinkers look significantly older than her even though they’re the same age.
She’s never been a big drinker, which has also partially contributed to her still-youthful appearance.
Several TikTok users wholeheartedly agree with Franchesca’s take on aging.
“I’m 40 & get this all the time – I think partly we’re the first gen who grew up wearing SPF, not chain-smoking & waiting to have kids if at all,” commented one user.
“I’m 41. My high school students were flabbergasted I have teenage children. They thought I was in my 20s,” shared another.
@franchesca_leigh does any of this make sense? #fyp #fyp? #millenialsoftiktok
