In fact, his daughter’s boyfriend moved in with her after claiming that his mother was abusive to him at home– which was hurting his mental health.
“But I am starting to think the ‘abuse’ was more people having some bare minimum expectations of the guy,” he admitted.
First of all, he claims that his daughter is contributing more to the bills than her boyfriend. Second, the boyfriend reportedly has serious accountability issues and lousy hygiene.
He also claims that his daughter’s boyfriend is just lazy and not that intelligent. So, his daughter and her partner “live like slobs” and are always struggling to make ends meet.
Recently, though, his concern for his daughter’s relationship increased tenfold– because a few days ago, his daughter approached him about getting married.
Apparently, she claimed that she and her boyfriend are already starting to look at wedding venues. Plus, his daughter wanted to know what he would provide for their budget even though they are not engaged yet!
He ended up telling her daughter that he would be giving them no money, and he also claimed that they had no business getting married. According to him, though, his daughter got “huffy” with him and said she would just have to elope then.
So, he told her that would be fine since he obviously could not stop her from making that decision. However, he did tell his daughter she needed to understand that if she wanted to make these kinds of adult decisions, then she would be treated like an adult.
In his eyes, that means that she and her husband will be responsible for figuring out how to take care of themselves and whatever kids they have. Moreover, “dad” was not going to just bail the young couple out whenever they needed.
Ever since then, though, his daughter has been giving him the silent treatment. Well, except for when she told him that he could not dictate who she married.
“And that her sisters both had their wedding paid for, so I obviously don’t love her the same,” he added.
