“The second we leave, you walk right out the front door and go to your friend’s house around the corner,” says the paramedic. “That’s not true, right?”
The patient denied any allegations of leaving the hospital and continued his ride in the ambulance. However, later that day, the paramedic firsthand witnessed him walking right out of the emergency room. So this guy really must’ve just wanted a lift to his friend’s place!
The video generated over 330,000 likes and had viewers shocked.
“It’s all fun and games until you get the bill for the ambulance,” commented one TikTok user.
“There’s no way!” commented another user.
As astonishing as this story is, it is not an uncommon occurrence that paramedics witness all over the country. TikTok users in the comments shared similar stories. One person mentioned a man who would call an ambulance every day just so he could sit in the emergency room’s air conditioning over the summer!
We’d like to give a special shoutout to all frontline workers for having to put up with any nonsense while trying to do their jobs. We thank you!
