“So I did,” he said. “I pulled my cast iron out of the garage. I cleaned it really well, and then I seasoned it all to make it non-stick.”
He also bought some cloth covers for the pan so she wouldn’t burn herself on the handle.
She hated using the cast iron, telling him she felt like she was living in the “Little House On the Prairie.”
Finally, she bought a new pan herself and started using it. Not long after, he tried cooking some bacon and eggs in it, wiped it clean, and found that she had destroyed and scratched up that one as well. When will she learn?
“Now she is worried about all the Teflon she is consuming,” he added.
She finally started realizing the errors of her ways when she asked her mom how she took care of her pans, and her mom showed her a collection of rubber utensils.
The argument between this couple did not stop there, as although she swore she would only use the rubber utensils if they got new pans, he still had to replace them himself. When he offered to split the cost, she got angry and called him cheap.
