However, when she got out of the bathroom, she saw he had taken their drinks and moved to a small table right in front of the bathroom door. There was no way she could sneakily leave without him seeing her. That is until she came up with a clever idea.
“I went over to him and took my drink, and put it down on the table, deliberately spilling it,” she remembered.
She intentionally acted tipsy and laughed it off like it was a stupid accident. He didn’t find it very funny, but when she asked him to get a new drink for her, he did.
While he was at the crowded bar, she slipped out without him noticing. She got in a cab, texted her friends, and made it home safely.
If you ever feel unsafe at a bar with someone you think may have messed with your drink, it’s imperative to get out of that situation as soon as possible. Perhaps the “drink spill” method is a good way to go.
