However, she claims that any potential employee should be looking to work in the billing department instead of customer service.
“Billing is the easiest call center job you can ever get,” continues Shéi. “Do not set yourself up with customer service.”
Shéi’s video gained a whopping 900 comments, with many of the users having worked in call centers before.
“People think call center jobs are easy; they are not!” commented one user. “People get real bold and rude over the phone. Something they won’t do in person.”
Other comments pertain to how many call centers supply poor training sessions and have mediocre managers.
Overall, TikTok users who have had similar experiences to Shéi seemed to be very happy that someone has finally spoken out on how difficult the job actually is.
“Thank you,” commented one user. “I try to explain to my family about how hard it is, and they act like it is easy.”
