“I declined politely until she made a comment about my money and cars, just another ‘must be nice’ comment I’m all too sick of hearing.”
After she made her snide comment, he exploded on her and said things he feels a bit guilty about.
He told her that if her boyfriend actually got a job, then maybe they could afford the lessons. He also said that he has five cars and he’d buy another five before giving her a dime.
After their fight, his sister called his wife and told her how mean he was. His wife encouraged him to give her money, and he decided to pay for his niece’s voice lessons directly instead of handing money over to his sister.
However, he wants his sister to understand that her children aren’t his responsibility.
