Even Though He Loves His Girlfriend, He Just Broke Up With Her Because Her Kids Are Out Of Control

His girlfriend then attempted to take her son’s phone away from him, and his girlfriend’s son absolutely flipped out.

His girlfriend’s son started yelling and refusing to hand the phone over. He even threatened to go to his father.

“So I went up and took the phone and yelled for him to start respecting his mother and to stop acting like that (this has been an issue for a long time),” he said.

“Ten minutes later, I was sitting downstairs while he and mom were still going at it, and I heard him say he hated me and is scared of me.”

Now, his own parents are divorced, and his dad was abusive to him, so it was extremely traumatizing to have to deal with his girlfriend’s son that night.

He ended up leaving his girlfriend’s house, but not before mentioning to her that he wasn’t able to keep going like this.

“She called me weak and immature for leaving when things get tough,” he continued. “I feel terrible. But I couldn’t stay in that house after what happened.”

“This wasn’t the first time. A few months ago, the oldest one put his mom in a chokehold when she took his phone away. I wasn’t present. But the point is, they all have anger issues and don’t respect mom. They need therapy. Mom needs to not date.”

He really hopes that breaking up with her is the best choice, but he is wondering if he messed up big time by stepping in between his girlfriend and her son.

Overall, his girlfriend’s kids are good, but they’re pretty out of control and have a ton of terrible moments as well as behaviors, and it’s overwhelming.

“…I don’t like how she thinks I’m weak or immature for having boundaries,” he added. “I love her, and I get that she doesn’t want to face everything on her own, but…I can’t do that for the next 8ish years. What an ugly way for things to end.”
