At first, he said yes, but eventually canceled when he found out he wasn’t attending the party anymore.
But then, he ran into her in one of the most inconvenient places – a nightclub. They were both there with their separate friend groups. She approached him and said hello toward the end of the night. They hugged, had a brief but friendly conversation, and that was the end of it.
“I feel I handled the situation really well, and it was not awkward whatsoever,” he recalled.
“However, ever since this random encounter, I feel extremely emotional again. I can’t stop thinking about her and am extremely sad, constantly wondering if I’m going to run into her again.”
Seeing her at that nightclub ended up stirring a lot of emotions in him. Now, he realizes that deep down, he wants to get back together with her.
While all these emotions came to the surface, he wondered if he shouldn’t have canceled on her when she wanted to sit down and talk with him.
Now, he worries that he missed his chance to get back together with her and fears she won’t reach out to him again. But what he’s sure of is that he doesn’t want to get his heart broken again.
Should he try to maintain no contact with his ex or reach out to her?
