Earlier this week, though, things hit the fan again. On Tuesday, she had a pretty crazy day and was in a big rush to leave the daycare.
Apparently, she and her daughter just had a lot to get done that day, and she was already running behind schedule after encountering some car trouble.
But, once she arrived at the daycare, her daughter and some other kids were in the midst of cleaning up a huge mess that she simply did not have time for. So, she just told her daughter to grab her coat because they had to go.
At that point, though, her daughter’s teacher Sasha interjected and claimed her daughter needed to finish up her part of the mess first before leaving.
“And I said any other day, sure. But I am running late, and we cannot miss this appointment,” she recalled.
Still, Sasha did not understand that and instead tried to argue with her about how the children needed to learn responsibility.
She really did not have time to defend her decision, though, so she just flat-out told Sasha, “no.” Then, she grabbed her daughter, put on her coat, and left the daycare.
Anyway, the rest of the afternoon was obviously quite chaotic. So, she did not have a chance to check her texts until later on.
And when she did, she found a pretty disgruntled message from Sasha. In the text, her daughter’s teacher claimed that any “poor planning” on her part was not an excuse to break the rules.
“But I pointed out this is not in the contract, and I can bring my child home whenever I want,” she vented.
Still, she wound up getting accused of undermining Sasha’s authority. She was also given a verbal warning, which she thinks is completely ridiculous.
