Her sister would mock her and tell her she’d end up spending all of her money on her boyfriend and his “poor family.” Then, she was advised to follow her sister’s lead and find a rich husband.
During their last year of school, her sister got what she wanted and dropped out of college to marry her rich boyfriend.
Their wedding was super extravagant. Her sister’s new husband gifted her a new BMW and literal gold as a wedding present.
On the other hand, she married her college boyfriend after graduation. They had a small wedding with very modest gifts.
Unfortunately, her sister had to be kicked out of her wedding after making fun of her husband’s status in front of their family. Her actions severely damaged their sisterhood.
A decade has gone by, and she’s doing quite well. She and her husband have a 10-year-old son and a house and can afford vacations abroad twice a year.
Her sister, on the other hand, is not doing great. She’s a mom of three kids and recently divorced her rich husband after finding out he had fallen in love with a woman in her 20s.
She didn’t get much money from the divorce but got to keep some expensive jewelry, her fancy car, and designer clothes.
However, her sister is not financially savvy and spent all of the money she made off of what she had left from the divorce. So now, she’s asking her for financial support.
“I told her absolutely not,” she said. “I blocked her everywhere, and she can’t get access to my job or to the gated community where we live.”
Her sister and her children are now living with her parents, who say she’s still struggling to get back on her feet.
