If You Want To Live Your Life To The Fullest, You Have To Accept These 5 Uncomfortable Truths

So, make the leap and take the risk. Stop letting your fear paralyze you from truly immersing yourself in relationships and opening yourself up to love.

Failure Is Inevitable

You will not fail at everything you do, but you definitely will not succeed 100 percent of the time. And once you accept this fact of life, you will allow a plethora of new opportunities to enter your world.

From the time we were children, we failed. We couldn’t hold our own heads up after birth; then, as toddlers, we fell after taking just a few steps.

But did we let these little slip-ups get us down? Of course not! We just tried and tried again until we eventually mastered walking and went on to sing the alphabet and write our names with number two pencils that looked massive beside our tiny hands.

The point is that when you let the fear of failure control your life, you close so many doors for yourself. And you will never get to know what was behind those doors, what you made yourself miss out on.

Instead, relish in failure. Try out new things and fail fantastically. There are really no consequences– you will just learn and grow.

Plans Hardly Line Up With Reality

This fact of life might be a tough pill to swallow. I know it is for me– being that I am addicted to my to-do list and a self-proclaimed “planner” at heart.

What I’ve had to accept, though, is that plans rarely ever pan out exactly how intended. Life ends up “happening” and changing them either drastically or ever so slightly. But regardless, the plan ends up altered by some magnitude.

And honestly, this reality might be for the best. Who’s to say that we know exactly how everything should go? And wouldn’t life become a bit too boring if we could predict and plan everything down to the last detail?
