Ultimately, she let her husband know that she is committed to figuring things out with him, especially since she grew up being raised by a single parent, so she really did not want a divorce.
Her husband then said that he was willing to go to marriage counseling with her, and so far, things have been going well.
That all changed, though, earlier this year when her husband decided to fly out of town last minute, and he was not honest about why he was taking this trip. She finally confronted him about his trip, and he didn’t lie to her. He told her that he flew out to see his college girlfriend and be with her.
“When I approached him about it, he came clean immediately and told me that he has no intention of ending communication with her and is still very much interested in separation,” she said.
“So much for therapy. Last month, on Valentine’s Day, I found out that the weekend earlier, he’d flown her to our city and spent time with her. That was the last straw. It broke my heart, and I moved out, leaving my rings on the kitchen table. I have never felt more disrespected.”
“Here is the thing, though – since I’ve been staying at a friend’s house, he has made every attempt to salvage our marriage. He says he’s blocked her on all social media accounts as well as blocking her number.”
She is still in love with her husband despite him not being faithful to her, and she wants to think that he will change, but she isn’t positive she can ever learn to trust him again. She isn’t sure if she should give him another chance or if she should move ahead with ending things with him.
