She had to have spinal and knee surgeries, and he was there to support her every step of the way. He dealt with some issues with his mom, along with his grandpa becoming ill, and she was, in turn, there for him.
She adores her boyfriend, but she’s beginning to think that if she has to wait 7 years and doesn’t get a ring, it’s going to ruin her.
“We have entwined our entire lives together, and if I’ve waited “too long,” I would fall apart,” she said.
“I would have to move states. We have all the same friends, he owns the house we live in, and it’s paid off, so I haven’t had to have a job for the last year and a half and have just helped him run his business… my life would be turned on its head if we didn’t end up getting married and I spent all of this time, my best years, thinking that we were going to.”
“Is there really such a thing as “why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free”? It’s never crossed my mind, but now I’m not so sure. Have I been naive this whole time, thinking that 6 or 7 years before a proposal doesn’t matter if you’re thinking of spending your lives together?”
