Her mom ignored her, and she had to keep giving her reminders to take it down a notch with the gifts.
For example, her mom would give her son $50 for Saint Patrick’s Day, a holiday when you don’t typically exchange gifts!
Now, everyone is getting ready for the Easter holiday. She wants to make a special basket with her husband to give to her son.
It’s reasonable for her mom to want to put together an Easter basket for her grandson. However, her mom put together two Easter baskets.
One to give to her grandson and one for her to give to her son. Yes, her mom put together the Easter basket that’s supposed to be “from mom and dad.”
Her mom thought she was doing her and her husband a favor, as she stuck more gifts inside the basket that was meant to be from them. But in reality, she totally missed the point.
She put her foot down and told her mom to take back both baskets so that she and her husband will be the only people giving their son an Easter basket this year.
Her mom said she was only trying to be a “good grandma” and accused her of turning the situation into something terrible.
Should she let her mom give her son an Easter basket, or should she stand her ground?
