“Also, when she asks to borrow my clothes, and I say yes, she comes into my room and claims she is ‘drowning’ in them,” she added.
And just a couple of days ago, her sister even made some really rude comments about her weight. Apparently, her sister realized they both wore the same pant size and actually started crying. Then, her sister claimed she didn’t “want to be fat” like her.
She pointed out how they are both at a wealthy weight for their height, though, so she honestly has no idea where that comment came from.
Regardless, behavior like this coming from her sister just makes her feel terrible– especially because she has been trying to be nice, and it feels like her efforts are for nothing.
Most recently, though, she could not take it anymore and stood up for herself after her sister pushed her over the line one more time.
It all began at dinner this week. Prior to the meal, she found out that she had been accepted into a very prestigious university in the field she hopes to launch a career.
And after working hard in the IB Diploma Programme, she was really excited to share the good news with her parents at dinner.
Right afterward, though, her sister immediately put her down.
“Wow, they must be taking anyone since your grades are really low and your CV is garbage,” her sister said.
At that moment, she admitted to feeling furious, and about 12 years’ worth of resentment just spilled out of her. She began screaming at her sister– accusing her of being a horrible person.
“And that I hope she knows she will die alone and unhappy if she doesn’t change,” she recalled.
