One day, she asked him if they could sit down and have a serious talk together.
“She goes on to explain how difficult her life was living in a single-parent household and how money was always tight,” he said.
After talking for a while longer, Jane asked him if he would help pay for her to go to college.
Although he could give her the money she needs for school, he’s a bit hesitant to do it. He saw her grades which were not the best, but for the most part, he worries that Jane and Grace are using him.

He doesn’t want to hurt Jane’s feelings, but he also doesn’t want to become her “financial lifeline.”
What should he do in this situation?
