“She told me I was being sensitive, so I responded that she was being cruel.”
Things spiraled from there, and more family members got involved. Thankfully, most of her husband’s family was on her side, all except for her sister-in-law’s husband. He also told her she was being too sensitive and that making a joke is “not cruel.”
Then, her sister-in-law accused her of using the joke as an excuse to call her out and start a fight. Finally, her sister-in-law told her she should not be taking her “issues” out on her.
“They are saying I went too far, and now I wonder if I did,” she said.
Was she right to call out her sister-in-law on her cruel joke?
