“It is expensive, but I cannot stand it when it becomes too messy for me, so I think it’s worth it,” she said.
Her stepdaughter recently brought her friends over to the house before she came home from work. They showed up about an hour after the housekeeper had cleaned up the house.
By the time she got home, she had noticed that her stepdaughter and her friends had left dirty footprints all over the floor because they didn’t take their shoes off.
They also decided to make pizzas in the kitchen, leaving crumbs and bits of food everywhere. They essentially ruined the housekeeper’s hard work.
She was furious, as she had spent a lot of money to hire the housekeeper, and her stepdaughter had wasted her money. However, her husband thinks she should let it go, especially because her stepdaughter has worked really hard to make those friends, and he wants her to lighten up.
“I can’t let it go because of how much it cost,” she said. “I requested the exact amount I paid for the cleaning service to her Venmo, and she acted all confused on why she had to pay for it.”
When she explained to her stepdaughter that she had to pay her back because it was her and her friend’s mess, she tried to deny that they were the culprits.
However, she had proof from their doorbell camera showing that her stepdaughter and her friends were first to enter the house after the housekeeper.
Now, she’s giving her stepdaughter an ultimatum. Either she gives her money for the next cleaning service, or her parents stop paying for her phone service.
