She Told Her Friend It Wasn’t The Government’s Responsibility To Provide For Her Family Because Her Friend’s Husband Had Been Unemployed For Two Years

Apparently, while talking to her friend group, Sarah revealed how she and her husband had been secretly trying for a second baby. Plus, the effort had worked out– because Sarah announced that she was now pregnant.

The excitement surrounding her friend’s pregnancy did not last long, though– because soon afterward, she recalled how Sarah just began to complain about money again. That time, Sarah revealed how her youngest child had outgrown her crib. So now, Sarah’s daughter is currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor since Sarah and her husband cannot afford to buy a child bed right now.

“She was also ranting that the government should give more financial support to unemployed parents,” she recalled.

Now, she apparently didn’t say anything during Sarah’s rant– because eventually, her friend pointed out how she was being pretty “quiet.” So, at that point, she decided to just be honest. She admitted to thinking that Sarah had just put herself in a more dire financial situation by planning to have another baby.

“And it’s not the government’s responsibility to provide for her family, especially considering her husband has been unemployed for more than two years,” she added.

Her comments didn’t go over well with Sarah, though. Instead, her friend just wound up bursting into tears before leaving the get-together. And now, ever since her friends have begun urging her to apologize, she’s been left wondering whether telling Sarah not to expect the government to provide for her family was the wrong thing to do.

Do you think government support is meant for people in Sarah’s situation? Or do you agree that Sarah’s husband should have gotten a job instead of remaining unemployed for two years? Will having a second baby make Sarah’s financial issues any easier? Did she have a right to be honest about that?
