“She argued that “they chipped in a lot of money,” but I don’t think it’s fair to give money as a gift (that we never asked for, by the way) and then expect a refund on it when we get some back for all the stress and disappointment that this place put us through,” the bride explained.
She is satisfied with the refund amount as it will cover a few other expenses for the ceremony. She understands that they can not turn back time, so she agreed to the refund to move forward with the situation.
As she began to express her emotions over the phone to her mom, her mom got angry with her decision and chose to hang up on her!
Should she give a portion of the refund back to her mom? Is her mom in the wrong for gifting $5,000 at Christmas only to ask for it back?
