Her sister-in-law is not her mother-in-law’s daughter; she is only her daughter-in-law. Her sister-in-law never got along with her mother-in-law, and in fact, her sister-in-law was so terrible to her mother-in-law that she’s convinced that’s the reason why her sister-in-law was never given any recipes.
Her mother-in-law never stated that she was or was not ok with her sharing any of her recipes with the rest of their family, and although she hates to keep recipes a secret, she doesn’t want to share the dessert recipe with her sister-in-law at all.
It really irritated her that her sister-in-law demanded to have the recipe, and it also upsets her that her sister-in-law has been claiming this recipe as her own.
It is her mother-in-law’s recipe, so she finds it disrespectful of her sister-in-law not to mention that at all.
