Unfortunately, though, her stepmother just ignored her. On top of that, Lucy even ignored her own parents– who claimed they wanted Maisie to have the ring.
“Lucy was offended they would treat me as less of a grandkid. But it’s true. They are not my grandparents, and I am not their granddaughter,” she explained.
Now, though, she is 17-years-old; meanwhile, Maisie is 16-years-old. And more drama regarding Lucy’s engagement ring has sprung up again.
Honestly, she has no idea how it happened, but her stepmother reportedly informed Maisie that the engagement ring from Lucy’s marriage to Maisie’s dad would be saved for her– as the eldest daughter– instead of Maisie.
And after that, her stepsister utterly freaked out. Apparently, Maisie screamed at Lucy and claimed that she was really Lucy’s daughter.
Plus, Maisie pointed out how her late father had proposed with that ring. So, if anyone was entitled to get the ring, Maisie believed it would be her.
But, the drama did not end there– because after Maisie was finished yelling at Lucy, she was next. Her stepsister wound up screaming at her– claiming to hate her and accusing her of being a thief.
Plus, Maisie even claimed that she should have died with her mom instead of stealing Lucy and stealing away the memory of Maisie’s parent’s marriage.
What she was most shocked about during all of this, though, was her stepmother’s actions.
“I couldn’t believe Lucy had told her own daughter she was giving me the ring after I said I wouldn’t want it,” she revealed.
And that realization was what pushed her to start freaking out on Lucy. She yelled at her stepmother and reiterated how she did not want the “stupid engagement ring,” pointing out how the heirloom was completely meaningless to her.
