Although he’s a relatively quiet guy who isn’t very chatty, he couldn’t help but feel ignored as his wife talked to her coworker through the entire show.
After the concert, he talked with his wife and told her to think about how she would feel if the roles were reversed, and he spent a lot of his time texting and talking with one of his female coworkers.
His wife said she understood and that if she were in his shoes, she’d feel uncomfortable. However, she explained that she saw her coworker more like a ‘gay best friend,’ which didn’t make much sense to him because the guy is married to a woman.
Regardless, his wife seemed slightly disappointed as she told him she wouldn’t text her coworker as much anymore.
Now, he’s starting to feel bad for what he asked of his wife.
“I’m now feeling guilty about it, and I started playing it down to me being needy and wanting her attention more,” he said.
“I struggle with confidence and anxiety issues. I don’t know if I should have brought the subject up.”
Was he right to express his discomfort with his wife, or should he have left it alone?
