She Got Called Out For Ordering A $43 Steak At A Group Dinner Even Though She Covered Her Portion Of The Bill

And being that they were a larger group, the dinner bill wound up totaling less than $400. But, once the tip was included, it came out to $475.

Regardless, she and her husband do not drink; meanwhile, all of the other guests had various alcoholic beverages.

That’s why she chose to splurge a bit on her main course– opting to get the steak since she had not gone out to eat in a while. Her whole entree cost $43.

“But no one’s meal was under $20,” she pointed out.

Anyway, when it came time to pay, her group decided not to split the check by person. So, she coughed up enough cash to cover her and her husband’s meal.

She handed over $130, to be exact, which should have covered her steak, her husband’s nachos– which cost $20– as well as their sodas and the tip.

After her best friend’s brother-in-law saw the bill, though, he took it upon himself to call her out for ordering a dish on the more expensive side.

In fact, the guy actually got up and loudly asked the whole table, “Who was the jerk to get the $43 steak?”

However, she did not hesitate to defend herself and asked why it mattered since she had obviously paid for the meal.

Still, her friend’s brother-in-law didn’t agree with that and claimed that she should have just ordered a meal that was more comparable to everyone else’s entrees.

“But the steak was the only thing I ate on the menu. The rest was covered in fancy cheese I do not eat,” she reasoned.
