That was when she found out that not one of them even bothered to bring a gift for the bride and groom.
So, she wound up basically lecturing the guys on wedding attire etiquette. Then, she pointed out how weddings are far from cheap, so it’s only polite for guests to bring a gift or give money whenever they attend a ceremony.
Still, her friends just seemed unfazed by her perspective and actually just brushed her off. And this honestly annoyed her so much that she told the guys off.
“I said I would have to uninvite them from my own wedding if they behave this immaturely on my special day,” she revealed.
At that point, one of the guys did get offended and even accused her of trying to force “old-school traditions” on them. Quite frankly, though, she agreed and clarified how that was the point of her lecture. After all, she thought the guys should know that their behavior was unacceptable.
Anyway, the bride and the groom wound up going up on the stage. And later, they did not even go over to her and her friends. Instead, the groom just nodded at them before going back to be with his new wife, and she honestly believes the couple did not want to be seen with them.
Despite that, her guy friends still claimed they would never even bother going to her wedding since she was a jerk. That’s why, ever since the wedding, she’s been left wondering whether uninviting her friends from her wedding due to how they dressed at another ceremony would be the wrong thing to do.
Why do you think her guy friends didn’t even bother to try and dress nice? Is she right that they should have more wedding etiquette? Would it be understandable if she uninvited them from her own wedding since they clearly don’t care about wedding expectations? What would you do?
