In addition, she told her music teacher not to put her house on the mailing list for the dance invites.
Despite all of that, her stepdad bought them tickets to go. He told her he didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to go and that she should try and do this one nice thing for him.
Her anger built up, and she lost it. She cursed at her stepdad, said he’d never be her father, and told him he couldn’t make her go.
Before she knew it, her mother stepped in, and she started getting yelled at by both parents. Finally, she was grounded, and her stepdad told her that she should love and accept him by now.
Is she being too hard on her stepdad, or is he not respecting her boundaries?
