“To this day, I cannot describe what I felt when I heard those words from her mouth,” she explained.
“I don’t remember much after that, but I just [started] sobbing.”
After that incident two years ago, she kept minimal contact with her brother and his fiancée. However, she never received an apology, and what his fiancée said strongly affected her mental health and filled her with guilt.
The other day, her brother went to her house to personally invite her to the wedding, and she said she wouldn’t go.
“I don’t want to see her face at all,” she said. “My brother said that I should let bygones be bygones, and my grief is not the only one that matters.”
However, she is starting to feel guilty about not attending the wedding because her brother has always been a supportive sibling, and they used to be very close until what happened.
Additionally, her daughter was very excited about the wedding and was determined to get better for it. She’s just not sure if she can face her future sister-in-law again.
Should she consider going to the wedding?
