But once he picked her up for their date and she stepped foot in the car, they both burst into laughter. And from then on, everything felt completely normal again.
“Our relationship was just always so chill; it was always just really natural, no drama. He can actually communicate his feelings,” said Sophie.
She admitted that they were simply too young to be in a lasting relationship the first time around and that they needed the time apart to grow up.
So if you break up with your high school sweetheart as a teenager, it’s not always the end. It may take you 5 years to meet again, but if it’s meant to be, it’ll all work out.
