When She Was In High School, Her Parents Made Her Sign A Contract Before Kicking Her Out Of The House

When she got her car at 17-years-old, she paid for half of it while her parents funded the other half. And, of course, the car was in her parent’s name.

So the first option stated that Hannah could stay living at her parent’s house if she paid $1,000 in rent, $500 for a parking spot, and paid for laundry, groceries, and the electric bill. She also wasn’t allowed to have anybody over, and there was a curfew of 10 PM.

The second option asserted that Hannah needed to get her act together and not have any problems with chores or her stepmom, and they could go on with life as usual.

But if her stepmom ever had a complaint about Hannah, such as her attitude or her chores not being done well, they would take away her car, and she would be forced to repurchase it after graduation. And then she’d have to move out anyway.

The final option declared that Hannah’s parents would give her the car for free and put the title in her name without strings attached if she moved out by Easter.

Hannah settled for the third option, but the problem was that her car was rendered useless since she didn’t have any proof of insurance.

So she had the guy she was talking to at the time help her move out all her stuff and take it to a friend’s house.

Hannah stayed with her friend until the end of high school, then moved to Florida for college. After moving across the country, Hannah and her family are much closer now than ever.
