“The whole night, she [was] just bothering her when she was on the porch,” he recalled.
“[She was] asking her if she wants to go on a shopping trip, [and] when my mom asks for some quiet, she still talks on. When I was walking by, she asked me to take my wife away from her. This made my wife upset, but I did it since I could see mom was getting close to the end of her rope.”
On their way home, he and his wife had a long chat about what had happened in the car. His wife explained she was frustrated because she’s been nothing but nice to his mom, so she doesn’t understand why she doesn’t like her.
“I told her my mother will never love her and to just stop,” he remembered. “What she is doing is actively making her dislike her and to leave the woman alone.”
His wife called him a jerk and hasn’t spoken to him since the incident.
Should he apologize to his wife, or was he telling her the reality of the situation?
