“But it’s for my friend at the end of the day,”
He pointed out how he would rather not see his ex-girlfriend, either. He is only planning to tolerate that wrinkle in the plan for the sake of his friend.
Thankfully, after he shared his perspective, his girlfriend was also understanding of that and realized that he shouldn’t just cancel plans because of her concerns.
“But the fact that she has concerns at all just makes me feel like a [jerk],” he vented.
So now, he’s been left wondering whether being a groomsman at the wedding despite his girlfriend’s feelings about it is really the wrong thing to do.
