The last straw for her was when her boyfriend told her that he would prefer to spend his money only on himself.
He added that he didn’t want to have to work more hours in order to help provide more for their life together and for the apartment. He also insinuated that he didn’t want to have to buy things for her.
“I never asked for anything. I have my mom, who I can count on. I don’t ask people for things. So, I broke up with him and kicked him out,” she shared.
After her boyfriend left, she wasn’t sure where he had gone. She knew he didn’t have many options or people to reach out to besides his mother, who has a house where he may be able to stay temporarily.
Over the course of their relationship, she had attempted to break up with her boyfriend before. However, her boyfriend often made threats against her in retaliation, so out of fear, she stayed in the relationship. This time, though, she wanted to stand up for herself and not back down.
