Graduating from high school is an exciting achievement. Taking a trip with your family to celebrate can make the accomplishment all the more memorable.
This 44-year-old woman and her husband have been married for 25 years and have two children together.
Their daughter graduated from high school last year, and she pleaded with her mom to plan a trip to Mexico to celebrate her graduation with a few friends, as well as their families.
“Another mom and I agreed to rent a house and take everyone for a week,” she said.
She funded the entire trip, while her husband didn’t pay for anything. However, he was still going with them to Mexico.
The plan was to drive the 12 hours to Mexico, leaving at midnight so that the kids could sleep a lot of the way there. They would then arrive at the perfect time to check into the house they’d be renting for the week.
“My husband threw a fit like a two-year-old. He didn’t want to go. He said he hates the beach and refused to participate for most of the trip,” she explained.
She drove for almost the entire trip, and when she asked him to take over driving because she was exhausted, he only drove for half an hour before complaining that he was too tired to keep driving.
“He literally sat in the rental house pouting for almost the entire week we were there,” she shared.
