When he and his daughter were driving home, he reflected on the situation and wondered if he should have tried harder to track down the men’s bathroom or asked an employee for directions so that he didn’t resort to using the women’s bathroom.
He felt guilty that the woman’s daughter had to experience an adult man entering the women’s bathroom and worried that he’d messed up.
