“So, she most likely will not be granted a court order that will force me to cover her legal feeds, even if I contest the divorce and even considering the wage gap,” he explained.
That’s why he is now considering contesting the divorce just to draw out the separation and make his wife rack up a ton of legal feeds.
“That she would have to use her end of the settlement money to cover,” he added.
However, before he goes through with that, he’s been left wondering whether explicitly trying to hurt his soon-to-be ex-wife financially would be morally wrong.
Can you understand why he likely holds resentment towards his wife and wants to get back at her? Even so, would that be the right thing to do? And wouldn’t drawing out the legal process also cost him more money in the end? What do you think he should do?
