He Works At A Store And Decided To Humiliate A Fellow Supervisor After They Screamed At An Employee In Front Of Their Friends And Customers

Several hours later, Don had finished his shift and left for the day, and he and Pat were at the front of the store working at the counter.

“I was ringing up customers while Pat was changing out the drawers to send the money to the vault. I think he had just come back from going to the bathroom and had been in a rush because his fly was down. With several customers in line, I said, ‘Your fly is down, Pat.’ He zipped it up immediately and stormed off, huffing. Some customers in line smirked,” he explained.

Because Pat was behind the counter, the customers checking out had no way of being able to see that Pat’s fly was down, so it hadn’t really been necessary for him to point it out at that moment.

Later on, Pat brought it up and told him that he was a jerk to embarrass him in front of a bunch of customers.

“I responded by saying that if he gets to yell at his employees to move in front of customers, then I can give him a ‘friendly reminder’ to check his fly in front of customers,” he shared.

But Don didn’t agree with this, claiming that the two situations were different. Pat said that it was acceptable for him to yell at Don because he is Don’s supervisor, but because he and Pat are both supervisors, they are both equals, and it wasn’t fair for him to humiliate him.

Do you think he was wrong for humiliating Pat in front of customers?
