Her Fiancé Made Her Cry When They Practiced The Cake Smash, So Now She Wants To Skip This For Their Wedding Day

“He promised he wouldn’t get it in my hair or on my dress, but really, how can you control that? I have kept trying to get him to practice, and he never wants to. He will do it without the cake but never wants to with cake or whipped cream because he doesn’t want to be sticky.”

Whenever she and her fiancé practiced the cake smash without props, she could tell it would still end in an unwanted mess. Then, on Thanksgiving, things got pretty intense when her fiancé brought up the cake smash in front of her dad.

Her dad encouraged them to practice that day with a bit of whipped cream from their meal, and she agreed. She tried showing her fiancé where he could smash the cake on her face, but he started messing it up.

As she told him he was messing up the whipped cream, he rubbed it all over her, getting it in her hair, eyebrows, and clothes. She got so frustrated that she started crying and ran to the bathroom.

Thankfully, her fiancé was kind about the situation and helped her clean up. He claimed she was moving too much during their practice, which made him mess up.

“I said we were absolutely not doing it at the wedding because if he couldn’t control himself now, he wouldn’t at our wedding,” she added.

Eventually, he told her they didn’t have to do the cake smash at their wedding and that he just wanted her to be happy. She may give in to her fiancé if they can squeeze in a few more decent practices before the wedding, but for now, she’s refusing to do a cake smash and is wondering if that would make her a jerk.

Should she let her fiancé smash cake in her face, or should they drop the bit entirely for everyone’s sake?
