She Got Accused Of Ruining Christmas For Her Boyfriend’s Family Even Though She Planned To Stay With Them For Five Days Leading Up To The Holiday And Only See Her Own Family On Christmas Day

While visiting her boyfriend’s family, his mother learned of their plan for Christmas, which was to spend the five days before Christmas with his family and then drive to visit her family in Georgia on Christmas Eve so that they could spend Christmas Day with her family.

“This turned into a big fight where she insisted that he had to be home on Christmas Day itself because Christmas means so much to his dad, and his grandparents are coming,” she explained.

She and her boyfriend tried to reason with his mother, expressing that they would still be celebrating Christmas early with them but spending Christmas morning with her family since the younger children believe in Santa Claus, and they didn’t want to ruin the magic for them by celebrating a different day.

Now, his family is furious with her that she won’t spend Christmas Day with them instead.

Plus, her boyfriend doesn’t like the idea of the two of them being apart on Christmas, so they haven’t resolved the issue yet.

“I know he has been gone, and he wants to spend time with his family. It makes sense to me, and I would be okay with splitting the holidays and doing them separately, but everyone in his family is an adult, so I don’t see any reason we can’t just do Christmas on the 24th with his family if he’s insistent he doesn’t want to spend Christmas away from me,” she shared.

She won’t back down from visiting her family on Christmas Day, and she doesn’t mind each of them spending that day with their own families.

Luckily, her boyfriend has been standing up for her and is trying to get his family to understand their perspective and why they wanted to map out their Christmas this way.

Due to his family’s reaction to their plans, she is feeling a lot of guilt over everything.

Her boyfriend’s mother has been pressuring him to convince her to spend Christmas Day with his family instead, and he is struggling because he doesn’t want to let his family down.

In her view, his family is making too big of a deal out of this.
