This 31-year-old woman and her sister Emma, who is 29, had a falling out in their relationship a few years ago. It’s not like they never spoke to each other again, but communication was pretty rare between them afterward.

“And Emma still acts snarky towards me, but I’m not towards her,” she explained.

“My parents have tried to talk to her, but she doesn’t want to hear it.”

Just a few months ago, she also suffered a deeply upsetting experience after getting pregnant and ultimately losing her baby.

That experience was one of the most challenging times of her life, and she is still slowly working to deal with her grief.

While she was reeling from the loss of her child, though, her sister never reached out to her once. And honestly, that was really hurtful.

So, while she was at a family dinner recently with both her parents and Emma, she decided to talk to her mom about her feelings.

“I was sort of saying to my mom that even my friends sent a card or checked in with me to see how I was doing, but not a word from Emma,” she recalled.

After her sister heard what she was talking about, Emma got pretty defensive, too. Nonetheless, she thought that was it and that they’d left the drama behind after leaving the dinner that night.
