He Broke Up With His Ex-Girlfriend On The Spot After She Asked For A “Free Pass” To Sleep With Someone Else During A Trip To Florida Just So She Could See What Being In An Open Relationship Was Like
This 22-year-old guy had been dating his ex-girlfriend, who is also 22, for around a year and a half.
“As with every relationship, we have had our disagreements but have been able to resolve them as adults,” he recalled.
However, after his ex-girlfriend planned a trip to Florida, everything went downhill, and they ultimately broke up.
It all began when she planned to travel there with friends for spring break, and, to be clear, he never had an issue with her going to Florida.
But, while they were talking about his ex-girlfriend’s itinerary for the trip just yesterday, it became clear to him that she actually looked pretty nervous. So, he decided to ask what was wrong, and his ex-girlfriend hit him with a shocking question.
“She asked me if she could have a free pass to sleep with someone while she is on her trip and that she would also allow me to have a free pass,” he revealed.
Now, he immediately blew up after his ex-girlfriend suggested that, and they got into a massive argument. He tried to understand why she even wanted to hook up with someone else, but she just claimed that she wanted to “see what it was like” being in an open relationship.
He wasn’t okay with that, either, which is why he wound up ending their relationship on the spot.
According to him, he’s always been transparent about how much he values monogamy in a relationship ever since they first began talking.

“I have always made it very clear I wouldn’t ever consider an open relationship,” he underscored.
Yet, his ex-girlfriend apparently still didn’t get that because she told her friends about what happened and actually had one friend reach out to him– who called him a jerk for ending their relationship over a question.
In the back of his mind, though, it felt like way more than just a question. In fact, he believes that his ex-girlfriend already planned to sleep with someone else during her vacation to Florida.
“And that she only asked me so she wouldn’t feel bad doing it, and that even if I had just simply said no, she would have cheated on me anyway,” he vented.
Still, in the wake of their split, he can’t help but wonder if breaking up with his ex-girlfriend on the spot like that was really the wrong way to handle the situation.
