Do you know anyone who had a “fake wedding” or a big wedding party where a couple didn’t actually legally get married?

One man is refusing to spend money to attend his brother’s second wedding to his sister-in-law after finding out the first wedding, which was an expensive destination wedding, wasn’t real.

Six years ago, his brother got married in Jamaica, and it cost him $2,300 to attend, and he had to take an unpaid week off from work.

“I love my brother and wanted to be there for him,” he explained.

“I had a great time and actually met the woman I’m currently dating at the resort. It’s been six years, and my sister-in-law is pregnant.”

“It [was] a huge surprise because they were planning on waiting a while. Now they are planning another wedding. I asked him why, and he said he wanted to renew their vows before the baby came.”

He told his brother that while a second wedding sounded “cool,” he would not attend it, as he’s very busy these days with work and other things.

His brother kept pushing him, telling him it would mean a lot if he went, but he stood his ground and eventually told his brother that he’d only attend his second wedding if all his expenses were paid for, including his flights.

“He finally admitted that the first wedding was a sham,” he recalled.
