He Told His Wife That If She Wanted To Move Away, She Was Welcome To Do So, But He Wouldn’t Be Joining Her Because He Doesn’t Want To Leave His Family

“When I told Trisha about my stance on not moving, things got heated between us. She expressed her dissatisfaction with staying so close to my family, calling it ‘weird,'” he explained.

Even though he acknowledged that Trisha wasn’t as close with her family and didn’t relate to how close he was to his family, he didn’t want to give in to her wishes because his family is a huge part of his life.

“In the heat of the argument, I told Trisha that if she wanted to move, she was welcome to do so, but I would not be joining her. I didn’t mean it as an ultimatum,” he shared.

What he was hoping to get across was that he and Trisha were on different wavelengths about where they wanted to live. After the fight, Trisha was furious with him.

She told him he cared more about his family than her, and she has ignored him ever since. He didn’t intend to upset her or make her feel like she didn’t matter to him, but he didn’t want to move away from his family.

What advice would you give him?
