This young woman and her boyfriend have been dating for two years. But, her boyfriend has a female best friend who recently asked him to be in her wedding – taking on the role of “man of honor.” At the same time, her boyfriend’s female friend will also have a “maid of honor” in the ceremony.

Now, she does have her own male best friend. Throughout their relationship, both she and her boyfriend have also been okay with the fact that they each have friends of the opposite gender.

However, she’s starting to feel weird about her boyfriend’s relationship with his female best friend because it’s simply different than her friendships with guys.

For instance, she doesn’t text her guy best friend daily or talk to him all day.

“We check in on occasion, hang out on occasion, and I typically always try to include my boyfriend in the hangouts,” she said.

Her boyfriend, on the other hand, routinely goes out to grab drinks with his female best friend, and she is never invited.

So, the fact that he was asked to be his friend’s “man of honor” was the icing on the cake. Plus, to make matters worse, he was actually invited on the bride’s bachelorette trip!

The trip will apparently be a weekend getaway filled with drinking in a house full of women – with her boyfriend being the only guy.

“This makes me extremely uncomfortable, and I’ve mentioned that,” she explained.
