“I dryly laughed and found some roommates online that night, [because] the thought of wasting another 10+ years raising my siblings sounded [miserable],” she admitted.
“She found out that I’m planning on leaving come August, and now she’s irate, calling me every name under the sun and selfish.”
To make matters worse, her mom got her little siblings involved, and now the younger ones are devastated, asking her why she wants to leave them and making her feel guilty.
While she loves her little siblings and doesn’t want to abandon them, she can’t be responsible for more children and needs to live her own life.
However, since she was the one to raise her little siblings and teach them everything, she fears that her mom and stepdad won’t do as good of a job as she did, and she feels guilty for leaving them.
